Additional Final Fantasy Tactics: The War of the Lions Information

In days now long past, the War of the Lions rent the land of Ivalice in two. And it is here that two young men of note first stepped onto history's stage. The first is a man named Delita Heiral, the hero who would draw the curtain on the War of the Lions, this dark act of Ivalice's history. The other, whose role is now forgotten, is a man by the name of Ramza Beoulve. Peer through the eyes of these two young men, and uncover the secrets that lie hidden within history's darkened folds. Originally released in 1997, Final Fantasy Tactics: The War of the Lions is a portable update on the classic turn-based strategy game that gave birth to the world of Ivalice. New features include all-new CG sequences, all-new jobs, new 16:9 widescreen presentation, new head-to-head multiplayer and new storyline elements that refine the genesis of the Ivalice Alliance.

What Customers Say About Final Fantasy Tactics: The War of the Lions:

Final Fantasy tactics is a beautiful tactical game for the psp.Pro's-Beautiful rendered cut-scenes with a different "story-book style"-The voice-acting fits the characters.-Battles call for strategy-Game-play can be hours long. This won't be finished in one-day's sitting.-A long storyline with mini-questCon's-Camera angle.-Not all characters can use "potion" to heal, they must obtain this as a skill which can be annoying if your healer is way off and your units are being attacked to death.-Advancing to other areas can mean stronger monsters. Be careful not to venture off too quickly without the proper levels and gear.I have yet to complete this game, but so far it is good. A great buy for anyone interested in a RPG that will last for more than a month.

It is never explained to you what the "Bravery" and "Faith" of each character represents, which is vital. Faith deals with magical attack and defense of a character. If you are like me and don't know this the game is going to be very hard and frustrating. However, understanding how to build strong characters is tricky. The game play definitely makes up for the sometimes confusing plot. This is the first Final Fantasy Tactics I have played and I must say it was a very fun game. However, if you do know the importance of the Bravery and Faith of a character this game is tons of fun and well worth the buy, especially if you like role playing games or Final Fantasy. your character can become. Faith, on the other hand, deals with how strong of a spell caster (white mage, black mage, time mage, etc).

I got half way through the game and had to start from scratch because my characters were just too weak to defeat anymore bosses. your character can become. The plot got a little thick and confusing at times but not bad. You will have high level mages who can never hit enemies with spells because they have low faith, and high level attackers who do pitiful damage because they have low bravery. Pretty much Bravery is how strong of a warrior (knight, ninja, monk, etc). Bravery deals with the physical attack strength and defense of a character. The lack to explain what the Bravery and Faith are for is the major flaw (and probably one of the only flaws) of this game. I wish I could give it 4 1/2 stars.

A game you can play for the rest of your life. A great addiction to the handheld world, giving one the dream of fighting anothers team.

This, combined with the restrictive camera angles, makes playing the game a chore for the retinas.Be forewarned. Too fuzzy for my eyes.

The storyline, a complete snore in the early hours, ramps up into an unexpected gem. However, two major complaints with the game (and the reason for the two-star review):1. The genre has passed this game by.

For those who never played the PSOne original, FF Tactics is a solid turn-based RPG with outstanding length and customization features. Read every other review here, even the good ones, and you'll notice the same complaint about the graphical translation: They're FUZZY.

Disgaea (also a remake, but of a PS2 game) on the PSP has a more diverse battle system, and Jeanne D'Arc is such a polished product in terms of storytelling and gameplay compared to this one.2. The graphics.

I felt almost sickened after the playing the game for extended periods, and could not finish playing the game as I did with the PSOne version. There's a good game hidden underneath the visual mess, but it's QUITE a mess.

Games. So after loving Final Fantasy VII, I learned that there was a game created by the same people that had gotten some good reviews.Final Fantasy Tactics. This game what not at all what I was hoping for. I wish there were more, I could have watched them for hours. This game is fantastic in almost every way.

I didn't even care when my college roommate took the game home with him for good. It is one of the finest games I have ever played. Several years later, I finally came around to tactical role playing games. The reason I say this is because the most enjoyable thing about this game is developing your characters. I bought a cheap used Game Boy Advance where I could play through a couple F.E. Learning new abilities is always fun and you can completely customize your party to your liking. Learn from my experience.if you aren't ready to fully commit to the game, you will not get anything out of it. I played the first couple of battles (never even looked at the manual) and decided that the game wasn't for me.

Those are still genres I enjoy, but my Final Fantasy VII experience created a serious love of good RPGs. You have to read through some of the lengthy tutorials and probably spend some time with an online guide. I was in to sports games and action/platformers. You can't just pick the game up for the first time and expect to have a good time with it.

Not through this Square Enix classic, actually through Nintendo's Fire Emblem series. After loving all of these games, I knew it was time to go back to Final Fantasy Tactics. I searched Ebay and Amazon and found that picking up a used copy of Tactics was a pricey adventure. When I was in college my buddy convinced me to play Final Fantasy VII. Online guides are helpful in letting you know how to get to the Ninja class (my favorite class in the game), for example. There is a steep learning curve for the game, but once you are in, you will likely be hooked. The story is very strong. The movies scenes are amazing.

As with any Final Fantasy game, there are some fun side quests and cool characters to add to your party (Cloud, anyone). I plunk down my $50 only to get home and experience severe buyers remorse. I finished the game up a couple of days ago, but part of me didn't want to. Also on the system I played through Tactics Ogre and finally stumbled across Final Fantasy Tactics Advanced. When I read that they were updating the game for the PSP, I knew I had to start saving my money.Final Fantasy Tactics and I are finally united. The battles are fun and fast, but a lot of the games fun (for me, at least) comes between the battles. There are a couple of other SRPGs on the PSP, but I am a little afraid that I will be let down after playing this game.
